>From May 18-20, 2012, several industry leaders are gathering to do just that. Co-sponsored in part by DAN, PADI and the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS), the Rebreather Forum 3 will address major issues surrounding rebreather technology and its application to sport diving.

- Examining the state of recreational rebreather technology, including issues such as ventilator characteristics, carbon dioxide control, automation, warnings, bail-out systems, redundancy and backup systems
- Reviewing available data for accident analysis and avoidance
- Reviewing training and operational protocols
- Examine considerations for conducting extreme exposure dives
